Zamenhof Stickmusterstuch Error Eins virtual instrument is a free sound bank for Kontakt and Sforzando, by Karoryfer.

This library contains both one-shots and loops of glitches. Clicks and noise samples from various digital recordings have been processed with software time-stretching, pitch-shifting, distortion etc. and a Korg Kaoss Pad. All samples are in 24-bit WAV format, and there are a total of 85 samples adding up to 42 MB. A Kontakt instrument and SFZ mappings are included.

YAVA

YAVA is a highly configurable and flexible Mono/Poly synth. The package also includes YFG – a totally off the wall sound-fx VSTi.

Features:

Oscillator 1: (Orch. Oscillator) Gives a large stacked oscillator sound, variable between Sawtooth, Square Wave and Triangle. Width control used to detune stack and Orch selectors used to give various degrees of octave spans.

Oscillator 2: (Morph Oscillator) Provides 5 basic waveforms (including noise), these are then constantly variable using the Morph and Shape controls to mutate the waveforms into more harmonically rich structures. Osc 2 can be synced to Oscillator 1 and can be detuned in fine amounts or using the note indicator provided.

Autobend: can provide a sweep up in note or a sweep down in note at each key event or each trigger pulse from Gate 1 or Gate 2. Variable for Speed, Duration, and Amount.

LFO S&H: A combination LFO or S&H module, which uses variable waveforms as its modulation source. Both LFO and S&H clocks can be free-running or synced to the host tempo. As well as S&H the clock for the S&H module can be derived from Gate 1 or Gate 2 for more interesting rhythmic effects.

Vibrato LFO: Used as a pitch modulation source for either or both of the 2 oscillators. Contains controls for Rate, Delay, Depth and can be triggered from note on or Gates 1 or 2.

Modulation: Using a variable mix of Oscs 1 or 2 the Modulation unit provides Ring Modulation or Frequency modulation of the signal. It can be configured to enter the signal path either before or after the filter and can be volume controlled by virtue of the env button. Mixed in Post filter the Modulation unit can deliver some heavy distortion effects. Both Modulation pitch and Modulation volume are available in the Mod matrix.

Envelopes 1 & 2: Used for filter or other modulation uses. Both envelopes can be triggered from note on or Gates 1 or 2.

State Variable Filter: can be configured to run in parallel (2 x 12db/oct) mode or series (1 x 24db/oct) mode. Both filters are variable between Lo, Band or Hi pass modes.

Gate Arrays 1 & 2: Can be used to provide 8 steps of rhythmic triggering. Gates 1 & 2 are available as triggers to many other YAVA2 modules.

Sequencer grid 1 & 2: can be used as a modulation source to the Mod matrix. Able to be synced to host tempo, and used in free voltage or note steps with display of current note value.

Modulation Matrix: An 8 x 9 matrix of sources and destinations to deliver a high degree of control over the finished sound.

Glide controls: Provide not only glide between notes but also glissando (note stepped glide).

BPM Delays: Twin BPM synced delays which can be tempo-locked to varying sub-divisions and spread across the stereo field.

Yamaha Hybrid Kit – Single Hits Pack

Yamaha Hybrid Kit – Single Hits Pack is a free sample pack for Live, Battery, Exs24, Kontakt, Reason, Maschine, Geist, Idrum and Impact by Drumdrops. Avalaible audio files format(s): .wav, .wav 24b, alp.

The Yamaha Hybrid Kit is a great all round multi-sampled kit. The kit was recently given away as a free kit in a Computer Music Magazine Recording Special. For anyone who did not get the magazine you can now purchase the kit for a cut down price as a taster of Drumdrops Products. The kit is owned by producer Ben Hillier (Depeche Mode, Nadine Shah, Graham Coxon) and resides in Miloco’s Pool Studio in London. The kit has been used by loads of artists in the studio. The drums used to make up this kit have come from a combination of Yamaha kits and together provide a great sounding kit. The kit works well at different tuning pitches, but its big size and its Lugwig 402 snare makes it suitable for deeper rock orientated tracks or ballads or even pop tracks.

The kit comprises a large 24″ bass drum, a wonderfully deep 18″ floor tom and a 14″ rack tom. The snare is a Ludwig 402 14″ x 6.5″. The cymbals used were a Zildjian Dark 13″ Hi-Hats, a Zildjian Constantinople 22″ Medium Ride and two Zildjian Crashes – an 18″ Constantinople Medium Light Crash and a huge 20″ Zildjian Oriental Crash Of Doom. The kit has a black finish.

The kit was recorded by our resident Drumdrops engineer Ben Thackeray. The drummer was Adam Falkner, a busy UK session drummer and musical director. Recent highlights include touring and recording with Dido, Babyshambles, Amy Macdonald, and One Eskimo.

The recording took place in Miloco’s The Pool Studios in London. At the centre of the Control Room can be found a rare vintage EMT console. The outboard racks are full of great gear with highlights including Neve 1079’s and 1272’s, API Mic Pre’s and Telefunken V76’s. Compressors include Urei 1176’s, Altec, Neve 2254’s and Tweed. Mics used include Neumann U87’s, Coles 4038’s, AEA R88 MkII Ribbon Mics, Neumann Gefell CMV 563’s, Earthworks SR30’s, a Lomo 19A19 and AKG mics.

The Pool has had some great acts pass through in the short space it has been open including Graham Coxon, Noah & The Whale, Mumford & Sons, Florence & The Machine, Foals, The Horrors and many more.

The “Single Hits pack” is our sample pack which is suited for customers who only need a few velocities of each articulation. The pack includes up to three velocities of each articulation. In total it contains 92 drum samples. All of the samples are mixed from a combination of the overhead, room and close mics recorded as 24-bit 44.1 kHz WAV files, meaning they can be loaded into almost any sampler or drum machine. We also include 16-bit versions of the samples for older equipment such as the MPC60. To make things easier though we have included 10 patches for some of the most commonly used software packages including:
