WallsOfSound free reverb by Fractone

WallsOfSound is a free reverb VST, VST3 plugin developed by Fractone. Compatible OS(s): Windows 64b.

The idea with the WallsOfSound plug-in is to emulate, in a way most general as possible, the reverberant effects of sound traveling from sources to receivers in a three-dimensional space – bounded, fully or partially, by walls of specified sonic reflectivity coefficients. Rather than control reverb and echo with the conventional knob or slider-driven, single-dimensional delay parameters and the like, reverberant effects would be created by actually creating a virtual room and laying out sources and receivers in the three dimensions – a more intuitive approach.

WallsOfSound is compatible with these 3D room/floor planning/editing packages: Sweet Home 3D, Google Sketchup 8.

Verberate Basic

Verberate Basic free reverb by Acon Digital

Verberate Basic is a free reverb VST, VST3, Audio Unit, AAX plugin developed by Acon Digital. Compatible OS(s): Windows 64b, macOS.

The Revolutionary Vivid Hall Algorithm for Free

The free Verbarate Basic 2 is based on Verberate 2 and offers the same highly praised audio quality. The plug-in offers four high quality presets from Verberate 2 that showcase the quality and versatility of the algorithm:

  • Plate, a realistic simulation of plate reverb with the typical frequency dispersion and decay properties that give plate reverb the airy touch.
  • Room, a beautiful and warm wooden room that gives a great sense of room without being obtrusive.
  • Hall, a natural and gorgeous sounding hall.
  • Lush Hall, a colorful out-of-world hall with frequency modulated tails that sounds amazing on synth pads.

The intuitive user interface has buttons for each of the four reverb programs along with a mix knob that let’s you adjust the dry and reverb signal levels.

Audio Examples

Acon Digital Verberate Basic 2 is available for both Windows (PC) and macOS (Macintosh). Both 32 and 64-bit versions are available for Windows and the version for macOS is 64-bit. The plug-in formats VST, VST3, AAX Native / AudioSuite and Audio Units (macOS only) are supported. Acon Digital Verberate Basic 2 supports mono and stereo audio formats.

Two Convolution Reverb Mixer + Parametric EQ

Two Convolution Reverb Mixer + Parametric EQ free reverb by Mark Robinson

Two Convolution Reverb Mixer + Parametric EQ is a free reverb VST, Audio Unit plugin developed by Mark Robinson. Compatible OS(s): macOS.

I made this for a project to do with convolution reverbs.

The plugin itself allows for two impulse responses. They can be mixed between as desired and each one can be gained separately.

This then goes through a parametric EQ (nothing particularly special I’m afraid.)

Both the reverb and EQ can be bypassed as desired as well.

I have not got any impulse responses to add to the project but it runs from any mp3 impulse.

Would love to hear feedback. Just playing around basically and want to share.

(The design is a bit rubbish but I’m not known for my designs)

This was made in SonicBirth 1.3.0.

New Balance Audio Tools plugin range

The first plugin of a new range of audio tools is the Teufelsberg Reverb. It’s been two years since we released the Teufelsberg impulse response set, our most popular download, so we think it’s fitting for the first plugin in the Balance Audio Tools range to be this one.

  • Fast, zero-latency convolution.
  • A/B compare and preset saving functions.

StompBox Lite

StompBox Lite free multi-fx | delay | reverb | chorus by 4PocketsAudio

StompBox Lite is a free multi fx and delay and reverb and chorus plugin developed by 4PocketsAudio. Compatible OS(s): iOS.

StompBox Lite turns your iPad into a flexible Multi FX Processor which comes with 3 free effects; Delay, Reverb, Chorus and a further 16 Effects to choose from in the Online store.

StompBox Lite supports AudioBus and Apple’s Inter-App Audio making an excellent general purpose audio processing tool for all musicians, not just guitarists.

With StompBox you get the best of both worlds, a rack of professional sounding stereo effects (with far more control than simple foot pedals) and a foot controller to access a tuner and all your patches.

Simply listen through a pair of headphones, or attach to an external amplifier or hifi to truly experience the program in all its glory.

Once you have built up a library of patches, you can use the virtual foot controller to quickly and easily move between patches. The Virtual Foot controller gives instant access to all patch parameters and amp settings, with the ability to enable and disable individual effects at the touch of a button. If you want to modify an effect parameter, simply scroll the effect rack into view and make your changes.

In-App options include:

  • Media Player – Load your favorite MP3s and play along, you can even slow down the music without effecting pitch so you can play along at your own pace.
  • 4 Track Recorder – Record your own backing track.
  • Loop Station – Record your own loops.

  • Guitar and Bass Multi FX Processor.
  • 16 Unique Effects available in In-App Store.
  • 7 Types of Distortion via Distortion In-App.
  • Chain up to 12 Simultaneous Effects.
  • Media Player with Time Stretching (In-App Purchase).
  • 4 Track Loop Recorder (In-App Purchase).
  • Metronome/Chromatic Tuner.
  • Stereo Routing.
  • Save 12 banks of 6 patches.
  • Virtual Foot Controller.
  • Virtual Whammy Pedal.
  • Tap Tempo.
  • Compatible with range of hardware interfaces.
  • 3 Unique Skins.

Many guitar apps use a form of Amp Modelling which in most cases is just fancy form of EQ. This is great for electric guitars, but not so good for acoustic. StompBox allows various amp EQs both via the PreAmp and additional effects, but the important thing for acoustic guitar users is that these EQs can be completely bypassed. This is where StompBox really shines, giving a faithful reproduction of acoustic instruments. This also means StompBox can be used on keyboards too.
