Xtruder

Xtruder is a free software synthesizer developed by MVX Synths. Available format(s): VST for Windows.

This new synth is an experiment with power solutions. Some complex new brand morph oscillators (AM+FM+Sync), some filter matrix presets and selectable envelope decay speed. The idea started in 2007 and have been awaiting for a long time to reach a final version. I’ve used it a lot, but of course I’m not including a long list of patches. If you like its sound, just create and share your own patches.

The last time I updated the plug-in was in 2011, so now I suppose it is finally finished. It’s planned to change the GUI when a lot of people use it.

XT-EQ Equalizer

XT-EQ Equalizer is a free equalizer LV2 plugin developed by Harrison. Compatible OS(s): Windows, macOS.

The XT-EQ Equalizer features a revolutionary filter shape that was originally designed for precision speaker management. Unlike a conventional EQ, when 2 or more adjacent bands are adjusted, the shape is “flat” across the top. This avoids the “comb filter” shape of a typical multiband EQ. The resulting sound is smooth and transparent.

Adjusting the EQ is fast and effortless. Just click and drag your mouse to draw the EQ shape that you want, or use the mouse wheel to boost and cut each band individually. Made a change you didn’t like? Clear bands with a right-click drag. You can go back to square-one in a matter of seconds. You can also create a desired filter in one swipe, and then smooth the bands by holding shift and scrubbing. The XT-EQ Equalizer can be used for carving your tracks into shape, leaving the Mixbus channel EQs free to make the artistic changes needed for your mix.

XPhaser

XPhaser is a dual phaser VST effect plug-in for Windows. Two phasers with a different sound can be routed parallel or serial. Panorama and volume controls for the two phasers and the original signal offer you deep stereo effects or subtle enhancements. Manual sweeping or syncing to host tempo are available as well as different modulation waveforms.

XPhaser is available in two versions: the free LE version is fully functional but does not contain the host sync and manual sweep feature.
