FX Jockey

FX Jockey is a free multi fx VST plugin developed by DarkWare. Compatible OS(s): Windows.

FX Jockey is a semi-modular vector controlled stereo multi-FX plug-in.

FX included are Panning (can be AutoPan), Filter (AutoSweep too for resonance effects), BitCrushing, Stereo Phaser, Stereo Granulars, Stereo Flanger, Stereo Pitchshifting, MultiDelay, and internal Stereo Reverb. All FX have their own vector controls for realtime tweaking, and their own LFOs for sweep effects. Individual vectors can be synced with master vector for “one joystick to rule them all”, and with master LFO for “one LFO to enhance them all”.

Uses include realtime manipulation of source material in a dynamic manner, using selected vector joystick interfaces, or for sound design, using LFOs and multiple bypass sliders to automate audio enhancements. A wide range of sounds are achievable, from subtle nuances to full on chaotic destruction, automated or tweaked by your own hand.

Fuzziest Organ Evar

Fuzziest Organ Evar is a free software synthesizer developed by Fsynthz. Available format(s): VST for Windows.

Fuzziest Organ Evar is intended for playing heavy riffs, solos and chords at maximum distortion. Digital distortion systems are notorious for sounding dirty and too harsh – mating the distortion unit with tonegen’s control voltages makes it possible to produce a totally distorted, yet clean and sharp sound.

This is NOT a drawbar organ. The synthesis method is Wave Draw.

This synth introduces “interactive detune”, so you can play detuned powerchords/solos next to normal chords (where no unison/detonation allowed, for the deepest distortion to be clean), in one patch.

Fuzzed

Fuzzed is a free distortion VST plugin developed by Fuzzed. Compatible OS(s): Windows, macOS.

Fuzzed is an analogue modelling distortion plugin, using “state of the art” state-space modelling techniques to model the physical circuitry of the famous Jimi Hendrix guitar pedal and implement it as a VST plugin using the JUCE API.

Rather than simply modelling the general behaviour of the pedal, this plugin uses the circuit schematic to construct a highly accurate simulation of the pedal’s behaviour, with full parametric control. This is then implemented as a VST plugin for use in real time.

Included are some analysis screenshots of the comparisons between the output of the system and the real pedal, which shows the behaviour of the VST to be highly comparable to the real thing.

This work is the result of continued development of a plugin created and submitted as part of an individual university project.

The examples show case the guitar tones produced, with an additional example showing the use of Fuzzed to add analogue distortion to a synth + verb as a return/aux effect.

Use of Fuzzed as a return effect can add beautiful analogue distortion to your sounds without losing the original tonal content.

Future is a little synth mostly built out of ADSRs. It contains a HighPowerOSC like in GrooveBoxI/II. The ‘Super’ Effect has an ADSR.

Futura is an early prototype of Logana. It uses physical modelling to emulate analogue waveforms, but, as it is early attempt, it can have large CPU demands.

Full Phase

Full Phase is a free stereo imaging VST plugin developed by Bass Gnomes. Compatible OS(s): Windows.

Full Phase is a unique phase based effect. It uses an inversion of a stereo channel phased against the opposite corresponding channel to isolate common stereo field characteristics. This aspect of your audio can be controlled via the “st. (stereo) field” slider.

There’s a comb filter that can add a nice character to the output via the “character” slider.

Phase shift can be accomplished using the “shift” slider in combination with the horizontal “position” slider to place the shift anywhere within the stereo field.

The Full Bucket Phaser is an offspring of the tiny Phaser units within many of my instrument plug-ins
