Hands Make Sounds is a free collection of 158 hand clap and finger snap samples. The sounds have been recorded in six different locations, capturing their natural reverb characteristics.

Growlybass

Growlybass virtual instrument is a free bass sound bank for Sforzando, by Karoryfer.

A sample library of a Squier Jazz bass guitar. The sustained notes have four round robins and four velocity layers. The staccato notes have one velocity layer and five round robins, and their endings are also used for the key release samples. Everything is sampled every minor third, with the low string also sampled tuned down to C#. Finally, there are some pick scrapes with four round robins. All that adds up to 310 24-bit 44.1 kHz wav samples and a 159 MB download.

Seven different SFZ mappings are included. The samples are recorded direct and processed only with noise reduction, so for a classic bass guitar sound they should be used with an amp simulator. The demo uses the most realistic mapping run through free amp sim and channel strip plugins, followed by the least realistic three-voice mapping run through a sweeping low-pass filter, reverb and compression.

Gogodze Phu Vol I is a free open-source percussion library for Plogue Sforzando. It contains a set of five bobobo drums from Ghana, and a cajon.

Game Boy Drum Kit

Game Boy Drum Kit virtual instrument is a free drums sound bank for Kontakt and Sforzando, by Bedroom Producers Blog.

Game Boy Drum Kit is a free drum sample pack featuring the sounds of a black Nintendo Game Boy running LSDJ software. The pack contains 64 unprocessed Game Boy samples in 24-bit WAV format (44.1 kHz), along with a set of NKI and SFZ patches.

The included samples are completely dry and unprocessed, apart from the fact that they’ve been recorded through a compact tube preamp. In addition to the standard selection of 8-bit drum hits, the pack also contains a bonus set of classic chiptune style arpeggios, SFX hits and pulse wave bass samples.

Game Boy Drum Kit includes two types of NKI patches. The first one is a simple Kontakt instrument with a set of basic control parameters, whereas the other one is an advanced experimental drum machine crafted by Fairly Confusing Waveforms.

Fashionbass

Fashionbass virtual instrument is a free bass sound bank for Sforzando, by Karoryfer.

A sample library of a Killer KB-Simmony bass guitar which looks quite unusual, but the construction, materials and electronics are actually quite typical. The bass is tuned CGDA, an octave below cello, but the low C string is also sampled tuned down to A and F#. The notes are sampled every minor third with five velocity layers and three random round robins. There are also string muting noises triggered on key release (sampled every minor third with four round robins) and various percussive noises (with five round robins). The total is 426 24-bit samples in wav format. Four different SFZ mappings are included with varying degrees of realism.

When Etherealwinds told us he was willing to make a sequel to the now-classic Etherealwinds Harp freeware library, we were all too happy to oblige. Recorded completely from the ground up in an eight-hour session, we’ve assembled quite possibly the most complete lever harp library in existence, the Etherealwinds Harp II.

Because we wanted to keep the spirit of the original freeware alive (and we knew you’d never let us get away without it), we also put together this reduced version of the new library under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license. Share it, edit it, remix it, and build on it however you’d like.
