ITS is a virtual synthesizer for Windows OS 32/64-bits VST2/VST3.

It is designed for the creation of rhythmic sounds/synths (sounds that do not fit in the effects section nor in the leads section) for the core of your rave tracks such as Techno, Drum’n’Bass and Psytrance.

The user can pull some basses and leads out of it….so there is no need to be stuck to rave…..it can be used in other styles.

iToneMaker – Morse Edition

iToneMaker – Morse Edition is a free software synthesizer developed by Eiji & Tom. Available format(s): stand alone application for iOS.

iToneMaker – Morse Edition (iTM) is an iPhone synthesizer based on the Morse Signal protocol.

From any phrases, iTM generates unique rhythm sequences. The tone is totally customizable with the built-in effectors and OSCs. The Macro and Smart Pitch features also let you play melody. It is the first Morse music instrument.

You can upload audio samples directly from iPhone as MP3 and M4R (iPhone ringtone format). Lossless export (WAVE/AIFF) to Dropbox and to iTunes File Sharing needs payed upgrade. However, all the musical features are available for free.

IterativeSinCluster

IterativeSinCluster is a free software synthesizer developed by Uhhyou. Available format(s): VST3 for Windows 64b, macOS, Linux.

Note: Currently Linux build doesn’t display GUI due to some problem related to VSTGUI. For Linux, LV2 version is available at https://github.com/ryukau/LV2Plugins.

Note: I don’t have mac so macOS build is not tested. If you find bug, please report it to https://github.com/ryukau/VSTPlugins.

IterativeSinCluster is an additive synthesizer. This synth computes 512 sine waves per note to make tone cluster. I somehow thought “iterative sin” is a valid term. Correct term is “recursive sine”.

The number 512 come from 16 overtone * 8 note * 4 chord.

Gain envelope uses typical exponential curve. It implements a heuristic method to reduce click noise when attack/release time is very short. Attack curve can be changed.

There are several parameters to control sine wave frequency:

Semitone and Milli. 1 milli is 1 / 1000 semitone = 1 / 10 cent.

Up to 16th overtone.

Frequency multiplication and modulo.

Equal temperament control to change the amount of semitone.

Pitch randomization can be used to make some nice unison or detuned sounds.

Chorus is added to compensate the lack of modulation. It has 3 delays inside. Key follow can be used to automatically change delay time to follow note frequency.

One downside is that note frequency can’t be changed during note on. This is due to the limitation of iterative sin algorithm, which is fast only if the frequency is constant.

Iridesynth is a stereo virtual analog subtractive synth designed to provide “entertainingly unique tones” with fast and simple programming. It is capable of strong classic analog sounds, retro vintage video game arpeggios and other useful traditional tones as well as “futuristic unheard of sounds”.

Iridesynth features Additive Feedback Harmonics, self-modulating LFO parameters, multiple ADSRs, and seven range octave support. Inspire CC is a stereo or multi out sample based synth with four channels, each having its own sound source, controls and options. Although designed primarily to produce rich pads Inspire CC is capable of shorter sounds such as bass and other hard attack sounds.

The Dome randomises all four channels simultaneously or specific parts of each channel. Apart from the Domes centre it has intentionally been left unstated what other areas randomise to introduce absolute chance and maybe inspire new musical pieces as a result – see the general help picture. Obviously through trial and error it can be discovered what each part of the Dome randomises, if that is so desired.

The random sweep generators (RSG) for each of the four channels create sweeps of varying speed and tonality. The master random sweep generators do exactly the same as the RSGs but for all four channels simultaneously, creating different sweeps for each channel. The generated sweeps can be so subtle as to be almost imperceptible, powerfully dramatic or anywhere between the two. There are also sweep templates to aid the creation of custom sweeps. Sweeps can be turned off for each channel by disabling the filter envelope resulting in a regular low/high pass filter.

Using only the Dome and the random sweep generators it’s quick and easy to create useful presets for Inspire CC.

Automation is available for all parameters that make creative sense to have it.

There are more preset banks other than the default.

All audio demos were created using only one instance of Inspire CC (with added drums).

Why 32-bit VST only? Many third party SynthEdit modules were used to create Inspire CC and, unfortunately, there are no 64-bit versions of the modules.
