T-Force Alpha Plus 2

T-Force Alpha Plus 2 free software-synthesizer by Mastrcode Music

T-Force Alpha Plus 2 is a free software synthesizer developed by Mastrcode Music. Available format(s): VST, VST3 for Windows 64b.

Mastrcode Music has released T-Force Alpha Plus 2 – VSTi for Windows.

With all the features of the old Alpha Plus and plus new enhanced features:

New graphical user interface:
now you can change every single panel’s background color individually in realtime while you have open the plugin inside your DAW.

Main Panel:
now i swapped the filter, filter envelope and also the amp envelope to the main panel instead of the modulations panel for better workflow. The distortion module now is in the effects panel.

New oscillator features:
Drift Mode: every single oscillator now has a “drift” mode. You can add a slight adjustable phase and/or pitch drift to simulate the voltage inaccuracies of a vintage analog synth.

Better envelopes:
Envelope curves for attack, decay and release now can be adjusted from linear to exponential.

New filter with up to 14 different filter types.

New designed LFO’s:
the LFO’s now can be switched to bipolar/unipolar
the start/triggering of the LFO’s now can be delayed
the LFO’s now have an attack mode for the LFO amount to let the modulation “fade in”

Enhanced Trance Gate:
new UI for better worflow
the gate sequencer now has 3 retrigger modes:
Host mode: the sequencer will be synced with the DAW’s sequencer bars
1st Note: the gate sequencer will be triggered by the first played note (e.g. when playing chords).
All Notes: the gate sequencer will be triggered by every new pressed note.

Effects section:
new phaser effect added
new enhanced distortion/saturation effect
new bitcrusher model
completely new designed reverb effect
completely new designed delay effect.

Polyphony settings:
the overall polyphony can be changed manually by the user:
up to 1 – 128 voices
up to 0 -128 additional reseve voices (to have reserve voices for long env releases before they will be cut by new new played notes)
voice stealing modes:
hard steal, soft steal or overlap mode.

64-bit VST2 and VST3 only for the moment. 32-bit version will come a bit later.

Price: Free.

Syntronik is a cutting-edge virtual synthesizer that raises the bar in sound quality and flexibility thanks to the most advanced sampling techniques combined with a new hybrid sample and modeling synthesis engine. Syntronik includes 17 amazing instruments, available as a collection or separately, with over 2,000 preset sounds covering a wide selection from 38 of the most iconic to ultra-rare and painstakingly multi-sampled vintage synthesizers. Syntronik’s synthesis engine goes well beyond traditional sampling thanks to a brand new analog modeled filter section created with the utmost expertise from IK, the pioneer in virtual circuit modeling. This is coupled with exclusive DRIFT technology to accurately reproduce the behavior of oscillators from real hardware synths. All of this combined with an effects section that is unrivaled in the world of virtual instruments along with advanced features like 4-part layers, splits and arpeggiators make Syntronik the ultimate source of inspiration with the widest palette of synthesizer sounds ranging from exact reproductions of the originals to sounds never heard before that will stand out from the crowd in productions covering any genre and style.

SynthWiz Simple Synth

SynthWiz Simple Synth free software-synthesizer by Noise Sculpture

SynthWiz Simple Synth is a free software synthesizer developed by Noise Sculpture. Available format(s): VST for Windows.

SynthWiz Simple Synth has been designed to illustrate some of the concepts in the book “Becoming a Synthesizer Wizard: From Presets to Power User” by Simon Cann (published by Course Technology PTR, ISBN: 978-1598635508). The synthesizer is available to download for free (i.e. you don’t need to buy the book to get the synth).

The synthesizer has been specifically designed to be a straightforward synthesizer with a limited set of features (one oscillator, one low-pass filter, one envelope to control the filter cut-off, and one envelope to control the volume). SynthWiz Simple Synth isn’t a synthesizer you are likely to use everyday, instead it has two specific purposes:

  • First, it is intended as a straightforward synthesizer for anyone looking to get to grip on subtractive synthesis and sound design basics. These principles are demonstrated with this synthesizer in Becoming a Synthesizer Wizard and they can then be applied to any synthesizer.
  • Second, it is intended for people who want to develop an understanding about modular synthesizers and how to create synthesizers using SynthEdit (SynthWiz Simple Synth was built with SynthEdit and the underlying SynthEdit files are also available for free download). As you would expect, you are walked through the construction of the synthesizer in Becoming a Synthesizer Wizard.

You can read more about the book (and check out the introductory video) here.
