Gadget is an all-in-one music production studio software for Mac, PC (plug-ins only) and iOS. A free lite version is also available for macOS.

Gadget for Mac comes with the complete collection of 30 gadget instruments, and also lets you use them as plug-ins in any DAW supporting AU, VST or AAX.

Fratzoor

Fratzoor is a free step sequencer VST plugin developed by TOK-TOK. Compatible OS(s): Windows.

Fratzoor is an analog-style Step-Sequencer which was designed to produce interesting bass-patterns very fast, using Randomizers (e.g. typical sliding monosynth bassline)… also usable for chords. It gets triggered by a MIDI-Note. Additionally, there are features like “Mode-Switch” and “Shifting of the Step-Position”.

Fratzoor also is controllable with any MIDI-Controller (TouchOSC for Smartphone, Nanokontrol, etc.).

From a few simple elements complexity can arise. Fifth Degree is a MIDI sequencer based on a simple concept: loop around the musical circle of fifths in key and tweak the performance parameters live. You can use it to create a mesmerising loop and change the way it plays or use it as a base while you improvise alongside it with another instrument. You can even use it as a convenient loop of notes while you try out different sound patches on your synthesiser.

When Charlie Steinberg co-founded digitalmusician.net in 2006 a major challenge was to develop a software application that facilitated online collaboration between musicians around the world.
