Prognum

Prognum is a free studio tools VST plugin developed by Fsynthz. Compatible OS(s): Windows.

Prognum is a MIDI processing VSTi, suited for two purposes:

Indicating current MIDI program IN BIG NUMBERS (both the 1-128 value and grouped by 8).

Browsing MIDI programs of a subsequent synth up and down using one single button, assignable to any MIDI controller (examples are: sustain pedal #64, portamento switch #65). Short hit on the button is one program up, long hit (>1 sec) – one down.

Two synths (two channels) may me managed with one instance of Prognum.

The second processing tract (shown in red numbers) features responsibility to the program-changing button on all channels – while sending the resulting MIDI program change message to the chosen (destination) channel only. So user does not have to switch the MIDI keyboard to the second MIDI channel to send a program change to the second synth (e.g. a groovebox).

ProgAte

ProgAte is a MIDI processing VSTi, allowing user to control up to 8 subsequent synths with one MIDI source (e.g. keyboard) making use of:

program changes remapping.

layers/splits (velocity range, key range).

volume adjustments.

synths switching on/off.

pitch bend and controllers filtering off.

ProgAte additionally features switching programs using one MIDI button, assignable to any controller (default is #64 Hold/Sustain): short hit – one program forward, long hit (>1sec) – one backward.

This way, a pile of different synths is integrated into one bank of MIDI programs, with transitions between entire complex setups being performed using one single button/pedal.

Preparation P features a collection of 61 “prepared piano” samples. These were recorded by Tom Gersic on a baby-grand piano, and include a variety of strummed strings, plucked strings, and many other sounds of various objects lodged in the strings. Each sample can be tuned individually, and you can also adjust the attack, decay, sustain, and release characteristics of the sound by using the envelope controls.

Preggers is a free chorus and lfo VST plugin developed by RunBeerRun. Compatible OS(s): Windows.

Preggers is a modulation effect based on a chorus that uses a sequence of fixed values in place of an LFO, and uses a Synthedit glide module with adjustable rise and fall times. The main chorus is essentially a delay, there is also a classic stereo chorus on it, and a pitch shifter that can be sequenced as well.

Populus

Populus is a free midi controller VST plugin developed by xoxos. Compatible OS(s): Windows.

Populus generates MIDI sequences using an algorithm modeled on biological behaviour. The measure is treated as a ‘year’ and note events are determined by parameters describing the ‘life cycle’ of each note.

The sequences are usually patterned, yet rarely repeat exactly, creating motif-like qualities.
