SAFEReverb is a free reverb VST, Audio Unit plugin developed by Semantic Audio. Compatible OS(s): Windows, macOS.

The SAFE Project is motivated by the lack of statistically-defined transferable semantic terms in music production and the requirement for more intuitive control of low-level parameters.

One of the main outcomes of the project is a suite of DAW plug-ins that allow you to both save and load semantic terms from within the audio production workflow. This means you can now control your audio effect plug-ins using terms that normal human beings can understand! Just type a term (such as warm, bright, etc.) into the text-box, and if we have it on our server, your parameters will be moved around to represent this. Similarly, if you achieve an effect that can be explained in semantic terms, input it into the box and hit save.

As the plug-ins are based on the music production community, the more users that input terms, the more representative the effects become for everyone else.

s16 is a 16-step sequencer.

Loads a single WAV sample for the sixteen steps.

S.F.U.M.

S.F.U.M. is a free software synthesizer developed by Krakli. Available format(s): VST for Windows.

A Riotous noisemaker, using the host sync feature to scan through a series of 8 amplitude levels and sweep amounts and then mangling the synths waveforms using the Twist control. The Glide Control evens out the pitch changes and the Smooth control takes some of the upper harmonics off. This synth is very much one for the experimenters out there.

RuntimePanner is a free stereo imaging VST plugin developed by Starplugs. Compatible OS(s): Windows.

RuntimePanner is an A-B stereo microphone simulator effect plug-in.

RuntimePanner can adjust the panorama position of the incoming signal using runtime differences between the first wavefronts. The result of this panning tool is very close to the panning effect when using an A-B stereo microphone configuration and is very useful for panning acoustic signals like guitars and voices. It is possible to pan stereo or mono tracks without level differences between left and right channel.

Rubberizer

Rubberizer is a free pitch shifter and time stretcher VST plugin developed by Scuzzphut. Compatible OS(s): Windows.

Rubberizer is a front-end for the free timestretching library, Rubberband.

Rubberizer allows the user to browse for samples (with in-host preview) and set the timestretching parameters (time, pitch, crispness) of rubberband.exe. The plugin will then invoke rubberband.exe to render a new, time-stretched file.

New samples are automatically named with a smart naming scheme.

Finally, the user can drag the new, time-stretched sample into their host, directly from the Rubberizer GUI.

Rubberfilter

Rubberfilter is a free eq and filter VST plugin developed by Christian Budde. Compatible OS(s): Windows.

Rubberfilter offers four classic filter modes to cut frequencies with up to 384 dB/Oct. It removes frequencies in any audio signal, while providing an additional creative purpose. Rubberfilter has a controllable filter order of 6 dB/Oct up to 384 dB/Oct. At high filter order levels, a psychoacoustic effect appears which is usually an unwanted sound of zips and sweeps, almost as if there is a tone present at the filter’s cut-off frequency. Rubberfilter allows you to use this psychoacoustic effect for creative purposes.

Christian Budde and, fellow KVR member, Dalor created Rubberfilter. The idea sprang from a KVR forum thread entitled million dollar scientific EQ? and now it has its own thread.
