Psycle

Psycle is a free, Open-Source, music creation program that offers an easy way to create your own music, fast, and with high quality.

Psycle uses a classical tracker interface (a text grid of notes which are sequenced one after the other), coupled with modularity (plugins) that allow to extend the sounds that you get from it.

It supports three ways to get sound: its own native format, the VST Plugin standard, and recorded .wav samples using the sampler machine.

Notes are entered in patterns, where you can also use commands (plugin specific, or global), as well as automating parameters via the mcm and twk commands. These patterns are then organized in a linear sequence, which becomes the song order.

PSP PianoVerb

PSP PianoVerb is a free reverb VST, Audio Unit, RTAS, AAX plugin developed by PSPaudioware. Compatible OS(s): Windows 64b, macOS.

PSP PianoVerb reproduces a special kind of reverberation originally provided by piano strings. It generates reverberation using twelve string operators with adjustable damping and decay time. Each of them is tuned to a particular note starting from A(55Hz) to a G#(103.8Hz).

The PSP PianoVerb string system can be transposed in the range of +-24 semitones, tuned within a range of +-100 cents and be detuned as well. Transposing to lower octaves produces a bigger and less resonant sound similar to traditional reverbs, while in turn transposing to higher octaves produces a very bright harp-like effect.

Proximity is a collaborative effort by Tokyo Dawn Labs and vladg/sound.

This plug-in is an easy to use distance “pan-pot” based on several psycho-acoustic models. The idea is to give mixing engineer a reliable tool which allows him to manipulate the “depth” of several sound sources in a straight forward and convincing manner.

Several models can be combined:

Distance signal delay by speed of sound.

Distance gain loss.

Absorption of high-frequencies in air.

Stereo width manipulation.

Proximity effect of virtual microphone.

Distance based early reflections.

All of them can be turned on and off to taste. Distance modulation options extend the creative possibilities even further. Units can be switched from metric (meters) to imperial (inches).

ProMeter is a VST Analyzer plug-in that measures “professionality”. “Professionality” is an index that shows how close it is to professional sound (sound of commercially CD). It is calculated based on the learning result of the actual commercial CD. Originally it was an indicator that can be measured with AI Mastering an automated online mastering service. In order to approach professional sound in the mixing stage, we made it possible to measure “professionality” in real time with VST.

Introducing POP, the all new dynamics Plug-in from Cut Through Recordings. POP is designed with one goal in mind: give your tracks the pop that they have been missing. POP Sound Shaper is a compressor/clipper combo. It is also great for getting more control over the dynamic range of your track without losing its transients. Podolski

Podolski is a free software synthesizer developed by u-he. Available format(s): VST, VST3, Audio Unit for Windows 64b, macOS.

Podolski is a simple, CPU-efficient virtual analogue synth. A cut down version of FilterscapeVA with just one oscillator, one filter, one envelope and two LFOs, it also features a Zebra-style arpeggiator/sequencer and chorus/delay effects.

Podolski’s specialities are the Click parameter (emphasizes the filter attack) and its ability to seamlessly morph between three waveforms (WaveWarp).

Version 1.0 was released as a free gift for visitors to the u-he booth during Musikmesse 2005. Right after Musikmesse it went on the cover mount CD of the German KEYBOARDS magazine (later Sound & Recording). Podolski was u-he’s first “magware” offering, and was distributed with each issue until about 2009.

In December 2012 Podolski has been refurbished with new presets by Howard Scarr, has undergone a GUI makeover and supports a wider range of plug-in formats. It has become regular freeware since then, freely available for download from u-he’s website.
