Doppler Dome

Doppler Dome is a free panner and doppler VST, Audio Unit plugin developed by Aegean Music. Compatible OS(s): Windows 64b, macOS.

Doppler Dome a free plugin based on the Doppler effect. The idea is to have a plugin that can take a constant car engine sound or something, and make it seem like the car speeds past you. Not just past you but it could do a circle near you, or accelerate then slow down.

It can be adjusted to have different levels for pan, volume, and pitch effects, so it can make the equivalent of a chorus, panner, tremolo, vibrato, etc, but with a totally flexible LFO / automation source.

The Blend control will mix the pitch effect with the dry signal, this is a bit like a chorus or modulated delay. The Pitch Scale knob determines how much pitch is affected, it can be turned off by setting it to zero. The Volume Scale Scale knob determines how much volume affected, based on distance. The Pan Scale Scale knob determines how much L/R position is affected, based on left and right position.

A MIDI not on message can be used to reset the path position and sync it with the audio or MIDI events.

DiTone

DiTone is a free multi fx and tremolo and vibrato and panner and chorus and flanger Audio Unit plugin developed by Music Unfolding. Compatible OS(s): macOS.

DiTone splits your input signal into two separate streams. An independent effect is applied to each stream. Then the dry input signal can be mixed into each stream independently. One stream is lowpass filtered and the other is highpass filtered. The two filters are designed to overlap in a nice musical fashion. Finally, the two streams are mixed back together with independent volume controls.

DiTone has a variety of effects available including tremolo, vibrato, panning, chorus, and flanger. Altogether, you can choose between twelve different types of effects for each stream and set the parameters independently for each. This gives you a huge array of possible sounds from which you can create interesting and unique modulation effects.
