FFrum virtual instrument is a free drums sound bank for Kontakt, by AudioThing.

FFrum is a free drum kit library for Native Instrument Kontakt. This kit derives from a cheap custom made set used for the recordings of the VideoSong below. No high quality multi samples, no velocity layers, no Round Robin, just single hits and a custom Kontakt interface.

Ferret 4×4

Ferret 4×4 is a free routing VST, Audio Unit plugin developed by eaReckon. Compatible OS(s): Windows, macOS.

Ferret 4×4 has been designed to add more audio routing capabilities to BloXpander by taking advantage of its sidechaining and multi-output capabilities. However, it can be used in some other DAWs to create audio links between different channels/tracks.

Ferret 4×4 features four pairs of inputs and four pairs of outputs, each of them having its own adjustable level and pan parameters. The internal behavior of Ferret 4×4 is quite basic: inputs are mixed down and the resulting stereo signal is sent to outputs depending on user settings.

This plug-in can be used to create extra “aux return” channels, mix down multiple signals to be sent to a single effect or a physical output, create headphone mixes, etc.

Please note that how easy (or even possible) it is to use Ferret4x4 highly depends on the host’s audio routing capabilities.

FDNCymbal

FDNCymbal is a free software synthesizer developed by Uhhyou. Available format(s): VST3 for Windows 64b, macOS, Linux.

Note: I don’t have mac so macOS build is not tested. If you find bug, please report it to https://github.com/ryukau/VSTPlugins.

FDNCymbal is another attempt to make cymbal sound. This one at least sounds like hitting a metal plate unlike WaveCymbal:

Stick oscillator. Just some impulses and sine waves.

FDN section makes stick sounds more plausible.

Schroeder allpass section adds metallic texture to the signal.

Tremolo can be used to simulate wobbling of cymbal.

JavaScript version is available. Requires browser that supports Web Worker and Web Audio. This is not exactly the same as plugin version, but using similar structure.

F8-V2 is a free multi fx and filter and ring modulator and reverb and gate and lfo and echo and pitch shifter Audio Unit plugin developed by Music Unfolding. Compatible OS(s): macOS.

The Collective 8 Audio Unit Bundle consists of three Audio Units: F8-V2, Mod8 and Res8. All three share a similar amplitude modulation sequence configuration. The audio stream is copied into 8 identical streams and an amplitude modulation pattern can be applied to each stream. The amplitude modulation patterns can be drawn to any shape, with an-easy-to use editing environment that automatically appears when hovering over the patterns with a mouse. Each stream also has filters or effects applied to it individually. The streams are then mixed back together.

The plug-ins:

F8-V2 has LFOs, which are applied to highpass, bandpass or lowpass filters.

Res8 has a choice of a driven, nonlinear, multi-stage filter or formant filters that can be independently applied to each audio stream.

Mod8 has a range of modulation effects like vibrato and ring modulation. It also has echo, reverb, sub-octave, and pitch shifting.

The result is up to 8 different effects running all at the same time, each with its own settings and amplitude sequences.
