Misstortion

Misstortion is a free distortion VST3, Audio Unit plugin developed by Nimble Tools. Compatible OS(s): Windows 64b, macOS.

Free distortion plugin for VST-based hosts. Does its best to be like Logic’s Clip Distortion and adds a bunch of other great features, which makes it very useful for the Hardstyle genre:

Symmetry: Make your waveform asymmetrical for more finetuned distortion.

Hard clip: Simple hard clip distortion.

Soft clip: Hyperbolic soft clip distortion.

Resonance: Increase the resonance to get a great tonal sound.

Bitcrush: Add some bitcrushing to your waveforms.

DC Filter: Filter out that nasty DC offset quickly and efficiently.

It’s free! It runs on Windows and Mac DAW’s that support 64-bit VST3’s. There’s also a Nimble Tools Discord for more info and support.

Simple Mid/Side Recording

The M/S microphone technique is extremely flexible and sounds great in lots of applications, but because of the complexity of creating an M/S recording in most DAWs, it’s often incorrectly setup or avoided altogether.

midiChordAnalyzer

midiChordAnalyzer is a free chorder VST, Audio Unit plugin developed by Insert Piz Here. Compatible OS(s): Windows 64b, macOS.

midiChordAnalyzer guesses chord names based on MIDI input, or from clicked notes on the keyboard display. You can copy the chord for pasting into midiChords or as plain text. Contains Snake Power.

MIDIBridge 3.0

MIDIBridge 3.0 is a free midi controller plugin for Audiocubes developed by Percussa. Compatible OS(s): Windows, macOS.

MIDIBridge 3.0 is the middleware application for the Percussa Wireless AudioCubes (latest release February 2015).

Through MIDIBridge, you can generate MIDI note triggers and MIDI continuous controller messages (CCs), which you can send to hardware or software you might already be using, such as Ableton Live.

When AudioCubes detect each other as you place them next to each other, MIDIBridge sends MIDI notes, which can be used to start and stop sounds or loops, turn effects on or off, etc.

As you move cubes further away from each other or closer to each other, MIDIBridge sends MIDI CC messages which you can use to change effect parameters, for example the filter cutoff of a synthesizer you might be using.
