Audreio iOS

Audreio iOS is a free audio recorder plugin developed by Audreio. Compatible OS(s): iOS.

Stream and record full bandwidth audio between iOS devices or iOS and desktop DAWs (running Audreio AU plugin). No audio interface needed. Using your existing router over the local network (or via the standard device cable between iOS and desktop connections), Audreio streams audio from an Inter-App Audio (IAA) application on one device, the built-in mic, or a wave file to another device. The received audio can then be routed to the speaker, an IAA host, or captured to a file using the built-in recorder.

ASlicer

ASlicer is a free slicer stand alone application developed by DNBAPP. Compatible OS(s): iOS.

ASlicer is a flexible granular synthesis based audio manipulation tool. Part sampler, part sequencer, part remix tool.

The app records to a sound buffer through the internal microphone (or via Audiobus), from an audio file or both simultaneously. During the recording process the application detects hit points, which after the recording process has completed it uses to assign a series of slices to each of the apps 16 Tiles. Slice assignment can be changed manually afterwards if so desired. Each of the sixteen tiles is a playback machine in its own right with it’s own set of assignable playback parameters and Fx settings, which can be mixed and adjusted within each of the Tiles “Pad” mode. Patterns of tiles can be recorded and played back using the tile sequencer panel.

Apollo MIDI over Bluetooth (Mac version)

Apollo MIDI over Bluetooth (Mac version) is a free studio tools plugin developed by Secret Base Design. Compatible OS(s): macOS, iOS.

With Apollo, you can send MIDI between iOS devices, or between an iOS device and a Mac. Between iOS devices, MIDI messages can be sent in either direction at any time. With a Mac and an iOS device, you can toggle the MIDI direction any time you like.

You can use the apps to use one iOS device to control synthesizers and sequencers on another, sequence an iOS device using Logic, or use an iOS device as a controller for Garageband. Apollo opens up new ways for you to use MIDI in your music setup.

Because the MIDI messages are carried over a Bluetooth connection, they are very low latency, and the bandwidth is also high. Bluetooth is commonly used in game controllers because of the responsive nature. With Apollo, you get low latency and easy set-up, without a tangle of MIDI adapters and cables. The Mac version is free — but can only connect to the iOS version, which is available in the iTunes app store.

Both the Mac and iOS versions require Bluetooth LE. This is a standard feature of recent Mac desktop and laptop computers; older Macs can use a compatible USB Bluetooth LE adapter.

Bluetooth LE is available in the iPad3, 4, Air, and Mini, and in iPhones starting with the iPhone4S and newer. Please note that older iPads and iPhones do not have Bluetooth LE, and are not compatible.

APG Composer combines a 3-voice FM synthesizer with an implementation of the Logique Analogique sequencer, which triggers notes when a weighted sum of different signals exceeds a threshold. APG Composer was created from a Simulink* model without writing app-specific code, using the Audio Plugin Generator source code.

Compared to the iPad version of APG Composer, the user interface for the iPhone app has been simplified by controlling several parameters using just one knob. The underlying sound synthesis algorithm however remains the same.

ADelay is a granular synthesis based audio effect processing tool.
