Mod8

Mod8 is a free multi fx and delay and echo Audio Unit plugin developed by Music Unfolding. Compatible OS(s): macOS.

The Collective 8 Audio Unit Bundle consists of three Audio Units: F8-V2, Mod8 and Res8. All three share a similar amplitude modulation sequence configuration. The audio stream is copied into 8 identical streams and an amplitude modulation pattern can be applied to each stream. The amplitude modulation patterns can be drawn to any shape, with an-easy-to use editing environment that automatically appears when hovering over the patterns with a mouse. Each stream also has filters or effects applied to it individually. The streams are then mixed back together.

The plug-ins:

F8-V2 has LFOs, which are applied to highpass, bandpass or lowpass filters.

Res8 has a choice of a driven, nonlinear, multi-stage filter or formant filters that can be independently applied to each audio stream.

Mod8 has a range of modulation effects like vibrato and ring modulation. It also has echo, reverb, sub-octave, and pitch shifting.

The result is up to 8 different effects running all at the same time, each with its own settings and amplitude sequences. This layering gives unlimited options to create incredibly interesting effects, from intricate and wild effects, to rich, textured reverb, echo, chorus-type effects. The Collective 8 Audio Units come with hundreds of presets. Amplitude modulation patterns can be copied and pasted within each AU or between them.

MFreeFXBundle contains a set of audio effects, which are completely free. Their features are limited, compared to our commercial plugins, but still extraordinary when compared to most plugins on the market. You can extend the free plugins features by purchasing a licence.

Metallurgy

Metallurgy is a free multi fx and delay and echo VST plugin developed by Ugo. Compatible OS(s): Windows.

Metallurgy is a multi-effect that is capable of providing sounds ranging from basic, subtle, filter tweaks to twisted, complex, walls of sound that bare virtually no resemblance to the original audio.

Metallurgy offers 3 filters with multiple modulation options (including step sequencing), 2 distortions (each with 3 modes), 2 down-samplers, dual delay, an envelope follower, a gate sequencer, and a Metal effect that, in addition to flanging and metallic effects, also provides the ability to produce pitched sequences, nearly turning Metallurgy into an synth in its own right.

Metallurgy has been designed with synths, bass, and drums in mind, but is useful with a wide range of sound types and comes with over 500 categorized patches.

Mad Dog Filter 2 is a free multi fx and chorus and filter and overdrive and saturation VST plugin developed by Ourafilmes. Compatible OS(s): Windows.

This plugin is an evolution of Mad Dog Filter 1.

This exclusive liquid analogue 24dB/oct LP filter has now been provided with steroids [Delay and Chorus] and the result is one phat sounding processor for any sound on your arsenal, particularly as a voice effects processor or on pads and other atmospheric sounds. Other possible use for this effect is as a powerful delay with filter and chorus – great when inserted on a fx bus. Another use is as a great chorus with LP filter and delay inserted on a guitar track.

Also featuring an output mix knob that allows you to use it as an insert or a send/return effect.

This plugin is also very powerful on synths with poor or no effects onboard.

Machin

machin is a free multi fx and fsu and gate VST plugin developed by de la Mancha. Compatible OS(s): Windows.

machin is a random, probability-based, step-sequenced multi-fx device created by de la Mancha in partnership with sink.

The step sequencer defines the probability that any single random effect will be triggered on that step.

Weighting defines the probability for each effect that it will be the one that is triggered.

6 effects (gate, crusher, filter, flanger, delay, reverb).

2-32 step probability sequencer over a cycle of 2-32 beats.

Seeded randomisation with loop repeat over cycle of 2-100 beats.

Lurker Chorus

Lurker Chorus is a 4-voice stereo chorus with automatic tempo-sync and stereo spread. Adjust the Rate, Depth, Feedback and Volume of each chorus, mix it with the Dry Volume, and set the EQ. Color animations to visualize the rate/depth of each chorus sweep. Presets available, and the user can make, save, and load their own presets and banks. Preserves stereo channels. As a note, Chorus B has a longer delay time than Chorus A.

KRT free plugin collection

KRT free plugin collection is a free multi fx VST plugin developed by K Ring Technologies. Compatible OS(s): Windows.

A few free VST effects (and possibly instruments), only time will tell. Some maybe alpha or beta quality, as early feedback is important. Any long term stability in design will be signified by a 64-bit release. Windows is the development platform.

Seven plugins are working and have been tested in ACID Music Studio 10. They are varied in what they do, and they are not “regular” in the sense of obvious studio tools. My favourite is Lootie the wave folder.

kitchen sync is a tempo-synced complex LFO that modulates 4 functions: 4 state filter (LP, HP, BP, notch), Flanger, Volume and Panning.

Features:

Both LFOs can be synced to start cycle by any MIDI note on message.
