Automap is a free audio and studio utility VST, VST3, Audio Unit, RTAS plugin developed by Novation. Compatible OS(s): Windows 64b, macOS.

Automap is free software that comes with all Novation controllers. It gives you instant access to your DAW and plug-ins so you can get hands-on control of your music software. It features a software edit page that graphically shows what is assigned to which knob, fader or button on the hardware. Automap 4 has a re-designed GUI and now features a notification system that pops up in the corner of your monitor to tell you what you are controlling when you move a knob, slider or button.

Automap 4 was launched with Novation’s new Impulse controller keyboard range in Summer 2011. The v4.1 update now enables Novation’s top of the range SL MkII controllers to work with Automap 4 for instant assignment and convenient control. Other Novation controllers and keyboards are now also compatible with Automap 4 including: Nocturn, Launchpad, UltraNova, ReMOTE SL, Nocturn Keyboard and the SL Compact.

AudioTexture Free is the free version of AudioTexture plugin which loads and processes contents from Freesound. A dedicated browser interface has been designed for an integrated workflow to use Freesound content with AudioTexture. You can search with filter/sorting criteria and preview right in the browser. The browser displays the most essential information about the sounds and allows double-click to directly load into AudioTexture synthesizer.

ATKTransientSplitter

ATKTransientSplitter is a mono transient splitter, cutting an input signal into its transient and sustain parts.

The plugin follows the implementation of the transient shaper with a twist explained on Audio Toolkit blog. The parameters are:

RMS is the size of the power windows.

Attack is the attack time constant for the slow attack/release filter.

Attack fraction (or ratio) is the percentage of the attack time constant that will be used for the fast attack/release filter. Used to work on the transient at the beginning of a sound.

Release is the release time constraint for the fast attack/release filter (as the release time has to be higher).

Release fraction (or ratio) is the percentage of the release time constant that will be used for the slow attack/release filter (as it has a faster release time constant). Used to work on the transient at the end of sound.

Threshold.

Slope is the ratio, 1 keeping the sustain at a constant RMS above the threshold, higher means that the sustain will be reduced by this factor (swell-like behavior).

Softness is an indicator of the harshness of the knee of the underlying swell.

ATKTransientShaper is a mono transient shaper with all the parameters usually hidden from the user.

The plugin follows the workflow exposed here with the following parameters:

Dry-wet gives the balance between the unprocessed signal and the processed signal.
