keFIR

keFIR free filter by Piotr 'Habib' Pyrzanowski

keFIR is a free filter VST plugin developed by Piotr Habib Pyrzanowski. Compatible OS(s): Windows.

keFIR is a zero latency, mono, FIR filter plug-in, based on impulse responses loaded from wave files. Filter length can be adjusted to maximum of 8K taps. It has a “mix” knob for mixing input with output, “gain” knob for setting output volume level, “length” knob for setting filter length.

Its purpose is to apply cabinet emulation on a guitar signal, with no latency, so it could be used for live performance or with direct input recording, etc. Beside that, it can process almost any impulse response to any source signal, so there’s no usage limitation.

JBM SPaCer

JBM SPaCer free delay | echo | filter by JoBroMedia

JBM SPaCer is a free delay and echo and filter VST plugin developed by JoBroMedia. Compatible OS(s): Windows.

Even since Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) was launched in 1990 I’ve always liked its onboard delay effect. This plugin tries to mimic that delay effect. There is a slight difference between the original and my replica: Instead of a FIR / IIR filter it uses a regular state variable filter. The reason why I chose a SV filter over FIR / IIR is because I have no knowledge how to program such filters myself.

The main goal for the development of JBM SPaCer was to give me access to the delay effect in my music. And it seams to be one of the more popular plugins by me judging for the requests to republish the link. Well people I’ve done it. I hope you like it.

InstaJungle

ZynAddSubFX free software-synthesizer by paulnasca 2

InstaJungle is a free glitch and pitch shifter and filter VST plugin developed by Laurence Davies. Compatible OS(s): Windows, macOS.

InstaJungle puts the power of beat slicing and granulizing at your fingertips, live.

InstaJungle was inspired by Bram @ Smart Electronix’ SupaTrigga, but the fact that they both buffer incoming audio and then slice it is the only thing they have in common. InstaJungle will let you slice beats on the fly, and let you play back different slices in the buffer with just the movement of a slider or the twist of a knob.

GLow

GLow free filter by GVST

GLow is a free filter VST plugin developed by GVST. Compatible OS(s): Windows 64b, macOS, Linux.

GLow is a resonant low-pass filter. It is used to remove all frequencies from a signal above a given cut-off point.

Increasing the resonance of the filter causes the frequencies around the cut-off to be boosted.

Resonance can create large peaks in the output. Because of this, the GUI features a peak display showing the maximum peak output level. The peak display is reset by clicking on it.

GHi

GHi free filter by GVST

GHi is a free filter VST plugin developed by GVST. Compatible OS(s): Windows 64b, macOS, Linux.

GHi is a resonant high-pass filter. It is used to remove all frequencies from a signal below a given cut-off point.

Increasing the resonance of the filter causes the frequencies around the cut-off to be boosted.

Resonance can create large peaks in the output. Because of this, the GUI features a peak display showing the maximum peak output level. The peak display is reset by clicking on it.

High-pass filters are especially useful for removing unwanted or inaudible bass frequencies. In a mix, you usually want the bass to come from one or two specific tracks. Removing the bass from the other tracks can make mixing easier and help eliminate “mud” from the final mix.

GBand

GBand free filter by GVST

GBand is a free filter VST plugin developed by GVST. Compatible OS(s): Windows 64b, macOS, Linux.

GBand is a band-pass filter. It removes frequencies from the input that are above or below the specified cut-off points.

GBand uses a high- and a low-pass filter in series to remove the unwanted frequencies. It is equivalent to using GHi and GLow, one after the other.

Band-pass filters are useful during mixing to remove unnecessary frequencies from a track. A track that sounds fine on its own can sometimes be difficult to fit into a mix. Narrowing its frequency range will often help.

Resonance boosts the volume of frequencies around the cut-off points. This can create large peaks in the output. Because of this, the GUI features a peak display showing the maximum peak output level. The peak display is reset by clicking on it.
