MGF Audio virtual instrument is a free sound bank for Kontakt, by 99Sounds.

MGF Audio is a collection of multi-sampled analog instruments, organic percussion one-shots and 50 presets for the Ableton Operator virtual instrument, crafted by Sydney based sound designer Martin Peploe. The library focuses largely on raw analogue and digital tones, as well as cloudy ambient textures, often with a lean towards 90s electronica and “IDM” such as Boards of Canada and Aphex Twin.

The included sounds range from warm tones of the Roland Juno synthesizer that was recorded to VHS tape, to harsh digital noises, Yamaha DX21 glitches, and organic percussion sounds.

The Massive Evolutions 2 was especially developed for all kinds of EDM (Electronic Dance Music) like Dubstep, Drum & Bass, House, Complextro, etc
All Synths are post-processed with innovative FX. The Massive Evolutions 2 is addressed to ambitious Sound Designers as well as to Producers who need to work quickly without having to abandon quality especially with TV-, game- or advertising projects.

Load up to 3 presets (full version: up to 10) and swap them only with a few Key strokes (green keys). While swapping the sounds you can control many parameters like Filters, AEG, FX, Pan, … in real time to additionally “morph” the sound.

Mangling Audio

Mangling Audio virtual instrument is a free drums sound bank for Kontakt, by 99Sounds.

Mangling Audio is a free collection of glitch sound effects and processed audio loops crafted by Poztman. The library contains over 300 individual sounds in 24-bit WAV format, along with a set of instrument patches for Kontakt 5.

The sounds were created by processing raw data and using software plugins in new and unusual ways. Extreme time-stretching, experimental convolution and software misuse are some of the creative techniques which were used to craft the samples and loops included in this free sound library.

The description below details the full version of MaK:

MaK was created to speed up the time consuming process of editing and/or recording mice and keyboards. After realizing how often this came up in both my commercial and film work, I decided there had to be a better way.

Several recording sessions and Kontakt script headaches later, MaK was born.

There are 15 devices available in MaK: 5 Keyboards, 5 Mice, 2 Touchscreens, and 3 digital keyboards. Each of these devices has been meticulously recorded at a number of different velocities for a very realistic playback performance.

The majority of the devices have 5 velocity layers; from soft to hard. Each of these velocity layers have 32 different samples: 16 for the press sound, and 16 for the release sounds of each device. That’s 160 samples per device. MaK will randomly trigger press and release samples for each layer based on the velocity you play the notes. Easy to use controls allow you to adjust additional layers of randomness in both velocity and pitch. All of this adds up to realistic devices, and convincing performance.

Kosmonaut

Kosmonaut virtual instrument is a free sound bank for Kontakt, by Homegrown Sounds.

Kosmonaut is a Free Kontakt 4/5 library from the world of Kosmos created with instruments taken from Kosmos Classics and Kosmos Infekted. Features:

60 Single Presets for Kontakt 5 (also for Kontakt 4).

Each Single Preset uses the Kosmos Synth front end, as well as featuring an amazing 8 x 7 sequencer with assignable destinations and a sophisticated Scale Remapper (Kontakt 5 only).

Kosmonaut Full Kosmos Instrument – Uses all 60 instruments to create a classic dual oscillator synth with lots of modulation possiblities, 2 filters etc..

The instruments are taken from Kosmos Classics and Kosmos Infekted.

The Kosmos Sequencer is possibly one of the most complex Sequencers for Kontakt out there. It features 8 separate Instances which can be switched in realtime via MIDI notes. Each Instance contains a sequencer for Pitch, one for Velocity and 5 freely assignable sequencers which can be assigned to a large array of Destinations. Each Sequencer has its own step amount so that for example, pitch could be 8 steps, and another sequencer assigned to Cutoff could be 12. All 8 instances are unique and so can all have different destinations, Tempos and step lengths.

As well as triggering the Instances via MIDI, there is also a series of Tempo and Pitch Triggers. The tempo based triggers can pause the pitch steps, or pause the destinations, double step, half step, make the note length long or short or mute playback. This is a great jamming feature for adding interest and a modern sound to the sequences. The pitch triggers change the entire pitch output by +1 Octave, -1 Octave, or semitone increments.

There is a set of 12 Scale Remappers, one for each note in the Octave. Each one selects from a range of over 80 Scales and will force the playing sequence to play the selected Scale. For example you could set C to play Major, so that any sequences triggered by the C key would be forced to the major Scale. You could then make D minor Seventh. This helps get away from the standard transposed sequence sound and with some effort can make for an excellent set of building blocks to create a track. (The Kontakt 4 Presets do not have the Scale Remappers)

As all who have used Homegrown products in the past will know, there are always extensive randomization options, and the Kosmos Sequencer is no exception. It also takes advantage of Kontakt 5’s ability to load and save presets, so that the entire sequencer can be loaded into a different preset, this can also be handy for creating template presets of your own with your preferred configuration.

Kontakt Microtuner virtual instrument is a free sound bank for Kontakt, by Homegrown Sounds.

Kontakt Microtuner provides a generic Script designed to be used in any Kontakt Instrument with a spare script slot to add a Microtuner. 300+ Scales are included and Scala files can be converted using an online converter.

The script is provided as a preset which is added to the user Preset/Script folder and then available from the preset menu of each script slot. The Microtuner Patches need to be stored in the Kontakt Installation folder as this is the only folder that is accessible from both Library Instruments and non-library instruments for some reason. Unfortunately the pictures folder is not available from library instruments too and so the script must remain ugly.

Kick Drum is a free collection of 120 key-labeled electronic kick drum samples crafted by 8-bit Logic. Apart from the 120 drum samples in WAV format, the download also includes SFZ and NKI patches for each kick sample.
