major sketch pad is ideal for musicians with writer’s block or knob twiddlers who easily get distracted by fine tuning soundscapes and ending up not getting any music done. No, this is not some pseudo-random-crap, you are in control of your music all the time when using the sketch pad. This is an arrangement utility rather than a music production tool.

major sketch pad is basically a step-sequencer combined with a chorder. Each time it gets triggered by a MIDI note the step-sequencer steps forward and each step can contain a new, different chord. The chords aren’t locked to a predefined pitch. This means that you can try out chord combinations and see how your melodies will sound with different chords applied to them, or just jam away.

The main idea behind the sketch pad is to make it easier for people who are having a hard time coming up with songs to at least get a “rough” arrangement sketch that they can continue to work with. It is, after all, often the beginning of a song that is the hard part to come up with.

An input signal is fed into an array of parallel comb filters. These comb filters are tuned using a microtuning.TUN Scala file, and individual filter decay, brightness etc. can be set using the GUI. The filters’ output volumes can be increased by their corresponding notes using MIDI channels #1, 3-16 and a monophonic feedback line can be tuned via MIDI channel #2.

M3 is a distortion effect with two wave shapers, two parametric EQs, a delay and an envelope/MIDI controlled formant wah section.

The wave shapers are defined with Bezier curves by clicking and dragging control points – it’s easy to draw your favorite curve with M3 to achieve the distortion effect you want. Each wave shaper can be contoured using a collection of available filters. Because there are two wave shapers, the first can be used to drive the second. You can use the independent contouring filters of the two wave shaper sections to precisely design the character of the distortion.

There are two parametric EQ sections. Each EQ has five filters: low shelf, high shelf and three peak/cut. The first EQ section can be used to contour the signal before the distortion stages. The second is applied after the distortion stages and can be used for emulating cabinet response or adjusting the presence of the distortion.

There is a two-second delay with adjustable depth, feedback and filtering. The delay is placed between the two stages of distortion. The formant section can be set to auto-filter or can be controlled with a MIDI expression pedal. There are 90 different formant filter morphing wahs or oscillations.

M/Ster Balance is a plugin designed for fast results. It allows you to control the tone of the sound and the stereo field with only 4 knobs through an intelligent algorithm. It features a transparent crossover filter that divides the signal in 2 bands: low (mono) and high (stereo). You control the balance of those 2 bands. Then the signal goes to a Mid-Side processor where you control the balance of the stereo field. A final gain stage allows you to compensate differences of level so you can compare the sound before and after the plugin processing. There is even a final onboard limiter (acts at 0dB FS – prevents clipping), if you ever need it.

Based on technologies from several of other Ourafilmes VST plugins (Master, Bass Bus, M/S EQ and Speaker Blower), those big knobs allow you to have total control over the sound. M-ST is a free stereo imaging VST plugin developed by WOK. Compatible OS(s): Windows.

M-ST is a VST effect for quick and easy adjusting the stereo wideness of an audio signal or faking a stereo-signal from a mono input.

Unlike a mono-stereo switch the channel separation can be continuously adjusted. Above 100% the stereo signal is spread with M/S techniques first and then additionally with filter and delay lines. The resulting signal is still mono compatible.

A mono input can be turned into a fake stereo signal with similar technique.

M/S EQ is a mid-sides multi-band processor. It splits the signal in low and high bands and allows you to process, separately, the mid and sides gain level of both bands. There’s also a final gain level knob and 2 switches on each band: solo and bypass. You can compare the results with the original signal by using the master bypass switch.

The use of this plug-in is very simple: from correcting phase issues to sound editing, from editing to mastering.

LXR is a lightweight tool that lets you insert small amounts of delay to each channel of a stereo track.

For best results in stereo applications, use smaller amounts (<0.1s). In monaural applications, use larger amounts (>0.5s) for a more pronounced effect (like a slap-back echo).
