Kx-Synth-X16

Kx-Synth-X16 is a free software synthesizer developed by KX77FREE. Available format(s): VST, VST3, VST for Windows.

KX-Synth-X16 is a virtual analog modular synth plug-in based on the EMS VCS3 structure, but with some additional features.

Common features with the VCS3:

Three variable shape oscillators, tweaked to simulate the color and bandwidth of VCS3’s oscillators.

16*16 pin matrix with feedback connections.

LP filter, 18 db per octave with self oscillation.

Noise generator with EQ.

Ring modulation.

Two external inputs.

XY joystick.

Added features:

Polyphony up to 6 voices. Total control of the polyphony features with the extended KXMOD system.

Each voice can be controlled with relative parameters (KXMOD).

Analog sequencer (CV & gate) with a memory of 256 CV and 256 gates, files saved on disk, 2 accent lines, random clock, keyboard input to transpose or to record the CV.

Mini knobs to adjust each matrix modulation, 0 to 1.

You can adjust the response curve of the oscillators.

The original ASR (trapezoid) is extended to 2 ADSR with Attack Reset mode, Host and internal sequencer synchronization.

Delay fx with host synchronization and LFO modulation. It replaces the original spring reverb.

LFO, Sample & Hold and third ADSR envelope added, monophonic modulations, they can replace the external inputs (In1, In2).

Kruud

Kruud is a synthesizer with a drawable low resolution Oscillator. The main Osc has 5 basic waveforms, Pink and white Noise and a drawable user waveform. The waveforms have different modes like Phase Mod, PWM (Square only) and a special morph mode (listed as PWM in the synth) for all but the square wave. The user waveform can mix or morph between two waveforms or do PWM on waveform A.

Krolar SX-2

Krolar SX-2 is a free software synthesizer developed by Kriminal. Available format(s): VST for Windows.

The Krolar SX-2 was inspired by the 1978/9 hardware Roland synth, the SH-2.

Features:

OSC1: sine/saw/pulse.

OSC2: saw/pulse/noise.

SubOsc: square (-1 oct below the settings of OSC1).

Modulator (LFO): sine/square/S&H with rate and delay.

AutoBend: begins below/above (-2/+2 octaves) key pressed and slides to that pitch.

PWM: LFO/MAn/Env – the slider adjusts the pulse width or the amount of LFO/Env modulation (the LFO for PWM is a smooth sine with no delay).

Pitch Mod: controls amount of pitch modulation by the LFO.

Tuning: OSC2 has its own tuning section, Wide and Narrow (+/-1750 cents or +/-200 cents).

The SH-2 was monophonic, Krolar SX-2 has a small red button (top right) that allows you to switch from monophonic (low note priority) to polyphonic (6 voices).
