Finger picked Acoustic Guitar, Flageolets and psychedelic FX Guitar. All samples have been recorded 4-times and sampled round robin. The Modest Guitar sounds warm and organic. You can also hear some decent guitar player noises on the flageolets which can create an additional pleasant atmosphere.

Since the Modest Guitar was actually made for the advanced round robin tutorial in first place the sampling was not the priority. But we found that it can still sound very beautiful in some situations and decided to also release it as free Kontakt instrument.

Key Switches & FX Control
Use B-1 key to turn off all instruments at once. With C0 (Acoustic Guitar), D0 (Flageolets) and E0 (Psychedelic FX Guitar) you can toggle the single instruments.

Midular virtual instrument is a free sound bank for Max, by UplandToys.

Midular is a (growing) set of MIDI effect modules for Max for Live. The modules can be chained together in a modular fashion to form any number of effect chains. Used in isolation, they can act as quick problem solvers, such as quantizing notes in realtime, or delaying a certain set of notes. However, it is when multiple modules are chained together that the power of the modular aspect becomes apparent.

Each module focuses on one piece of functionality, such as live quantization of notes, repeating incoming notes, sequencing incoming notes, and so on. By chaining several modules together, one can create a vast array of different MIDI processing chains that can do everything from simple tasks such as echoing or quantizing notes, to more complex setups that can support various forms of algorithmically aided composition.

MGF Audio

MGF Audio virtual instrument is a free sound bank for Kontakt, by 99Sounds.

MGF Audio is a collection of multi-sampled analog instruments, organic percussion one-shots and 50 presets for the Ableton Operator virtual instrument, crafted by Sydney based sound designer Martin Peploe. The library focuses largely on raw analogue and digital tones, as well as cloudy ambient textures, often with a lean towards 90s electronica and “IDM” such as Boards of Canada and Aphex Twin.

The included sounds range from warm tones of the Roland Juno synthesizer that was recorded to VHS tape, to harsh digital noises, Yamaha DX21 glitches, and organic percussion sounds.
