Flower Child Filter

Flower Child Filter is a free filter VST, Audio Unit plugin developed by Soundemote. Compatible OS(s): Windows 64b, macOS.

Flower Child Filter is the first in an upcoming series of boutique analog-style filters (See FMD). Flower Child is aptly named for its goal to have a clean and resonant sound. There is also a switch for an aggressive growling version that is sure to cater to your more destructive side:

Oscilloscope in center of interface to see realtime how the filter is affecting your signal.

Self-oscillating resonance.

Warm tube-like overdrive by setting resonance to 0 in clean mode.

Clean/Aggressive mode where aggressive mode responds well to loud inputs, creating pleasing warmth, overdrive, and distortion.

2 Envelope followers, one for filter, the other for amplitude.

FLOFIdeluxe

FLOFIdeluxe is a free glitch VST plugin developed by BetabugsAudio. Compatible OS(s): Windows.

FloFi combines a filter with an octave pitch shift algorithm. The filtered signal runs through the pitch shift, at which time it may be further altered. This signal is then added back to the original, for effects ranging from a subtle livening of dead sources, to trashy thrash.

FloFi has 5 controls:

FREQ – The source frequency that will be shifted up by an octave.

WIDTH – The width of the frequency band being shifted.

BOOST – The amount of level boost applied to the pitched signal. A limiter works to prevent unmusical digital distortion.

DETUNE – The signal being shifted can be detuned by approximately +/- 2.5 semitones.

MIX – The amount of the pitch-shifted and altered signal to be mixed back into the original.

The Driveshaper is an input sensitive Foldback Distortion, a great depart from what we commonly know and hear from traditional Distortion/Overdrive units, this one bearing the peculiarity of imprinting more of a Growly, FM’ish tone to what you throw at it. One can devise it as a special member from the Distortion family.

The Driveshaper is fully automatable and has the ability to store 64 presets. It ships with a few already pre programmed ones that will show what its all about.

Installation procedure: Unzip the file, then copy the DLLs into your VstPlugins folder.

Daft Funk

Daft Funk is a free glitch and pitch shifter and filter VST plugin developed by KlangLabs. Compatible OS(s): Windows.

Daft Funk is a “Glitch accelerator”.

Features:

X-Y panel: X controls speed, Y controls LowPass Filter and volume optionally.

Mode: “Pitched” means the wave will be resampled as speed is being modulated; “Grainy” means the wave will not change pitch but the grains will change size as speed is being modulated.

Sync mode: “BPM” or “Free”.

Note subdivision selector.

Y->Vol (Y value to Volume) button.

Zero – X: Useful only in “Grainy” mode; this parameter is useful to avoid clicks, but if you want to go very fast you better untick this option, otherwise you’ll hear an artifact in where the pitch transitions aren’t smooth on very high frequencies.

X and Y spring buttons: Enable disable spring release on them.

Smooth knob: This smoothes out the X and Y values, high values result on slow response to quick movements, useful to make slow sweeps such as on one famous Daft Punk song.

Grain size knob: When in “Free” mode (opposed to BPM) you can specify the grain size here.

CopyShop2 is a buffer chopping / FSU effect plug-in – it chops up the audio buffers and plays them back; you can choose the length of the piece of audio played back and when to apply it. CopyShop2 has a pitch controller as well, that does not change the length of the buffer.
