MGF Audio Triple Tap Delay VST.

Multi-tap delay effect with 3 taps. Each tap has an SVF filter and can be modulated by the two global LFOs with independent amounts. The taps are linked together by the ALG control, which gives an idea of the signal flow. SNAP dictates tempo sync or free time (the TIME knob). The tempo sync is measured in 1/16ths, so 16 = 1 bar. Feedback can be overloaded slightly for effect.

LSP Verzögerungsausgleicher – Delay Compensator plugin series is a free delay Stand Alone, VST, LV2, Ladspa plugin developed by Linux Studio Plugins Project. Compatible OS(s): Linux.

These plugin serues allows to add short delay to audio channel to compensate the phase offset relatively to other channels. The main idea is to add some delay of the signal recorded by set of microphones placed at different positions and distances from the sound source. Because the speed of the sound is low (about 340 m/s), the signal from the sources placed on different position comes with different delays. When the receivers are placed on the different distances, the signal comes with different delays to them. So the final mix of the recorded tracks can sound muddy or, on the contrary, very thick. Note that even 1 centimeter of the difference can take the negative effect. To avoid this, you can add more delay to the receivers placed near the source and less delay to the receivers placed far from the source. These plugin series help to do this in three ways. In conjunction with LSP Phasendetektor you can very fast phase your sources.

LSP Slap-back Delay – Slapback Delay plugin series

LSP Slap-back Delay – Slapback Delay plugin series is a free delay VST, LV2, Ladspa plugin developed by Linux Studio Plugins Project. Compatible OS(s): Linux.

This plugin allows to add set of short delays of the original signal to the output mix. Each delay can be used to simulate the early reflections of the signal from walls. This allows to make the stereo image of the original signal wider, and the position of the source more definitive in the mix. Equalizers provided for each delay line allow to simulate the fading of the original signal. Every delay can be set in both time and distance units. Also common pre-delay and time-stretching mechanisms are provided to allow the stereo image to change dynamically.

Remember that for more realistic picture the more delay is the more low and high frequencies are cut from the delayed signal.

Lazy Kenneth

Lazy Kenneth is a free compressor VST plugin developed by Noisebud. Compatible OS(s): Windows.

Lazy Kenneth simulates the pumping effect of a sidechained compressor in music that mark every 4th with a bass drum (techno, house, trance and so on).

Put an instance of Lazy Kenneth on your bass line, your pads or percussion and it will automatically duck on every fourth.

Lazy Kenneth started out as a hoax to torment a mastering client for being lazy because he never bothered to use sidechain even when it would improve his mixes by far.

It turned out that there’s still a need for a simulated sidechain in some DAWs since they simply lack the needed routing capabilities so Noisebud decided to continue the development of this simple but yet effective tool.

Inside the zip, there is a folder named “WaveTracer”, copy this one on the root of your disk C. The default paths are based on the C:WaveTracer to simplify the main installation, by this way no need to set the KxWavetracer program in administrator mode to write the waveforms and also to avoid the users document folder with a specific name.

KRT free plugin collection

KRT free plugin collection is a free multi fx VST plugin developed by K Ring Technologies. Compatible OS(s): Windows.

A few free VST effects (and possibly instruments), only time will tell. Some maybe alpha or beta quality, as early feedback is important. Any long term stability in design will be signified by a 64-bit release. Windows is the development platform.

Seven plugins are working and have been tested in ACID Music Studio 10. They are varied in what they do, and they are not “regular” in the sense of obvious studio tools. My favourite is Lootie the wave folder.

InstaJungle was inspired by Bram @ Smart Electronix’ SupaTrigga, but the fact that they both buffer incoming audio and then slice it is the only thing they have in common. grANALiser is a free glitch and pitch shifter and filter VST plugin developed by Morfiki. Compatible OS(s): Windows.

CAUTION: grANALiser contains explicit pixel animation, that should be viewed only by adults. People who find such content inappropriate should not use this software. Viewer discretion is advised during usage.

grANALiser is a hybrid of granulator and delay. It is capable of complex FSU sounds and effects as well as chorus, pitch-shifter or ring modulation. It is built around the same morphing engine as Morfiki’s redu(p)cer plug-in.

Features include:

Stereo processing (granulator pitch shift, size and rate, delay time with spread parameters).

Full featured granulator with pitch shift (±5 octaves, dropdown list with fixed values available), that can be tuned with grain size or synced to tempo.
