Traveller is a monophonic synth inspired by Korg Synthe-Bass and its overall simplicity.
It features:
- one oscillator with six different waveforms (two of these are actually PWM-modulated square and one is noise).
- twisted monophony
- traveller slider (filter cutoff).
- slow/instant slider (attack time).
- bump/singing slider (release time).
- hold switch (sustain on/off).
- bite switch (resonance on/off).
- quack switch (filter follows envelope on/off).
- and most importantly – volume knob.
The twist (in monophony) is that while you cannot hold two or more notes, you can hear previous note release while next one kicks in. This is actually implementation defect, but I left it as is because it adds character to the synth.
There are no presets as I believe limitations stimulates creativity but there is demo video to inspire you – {See video at top of page}
Good to know:
- Don’t forget to unpack csound64.dll to plugin folder.
- It’s open source – just open traveller.csd and examine or change code (refer to the Cabbage docs).
- It has no velocity sensitivity, but tone depends on how long you hold the key (for tones with long attack).
- You can use pitch bend wheel.

TranceDrive is a subtractive synthesizer that was build for Trance music – it has built-in supersaw oscillators for fat synths and pads, harsh filters, a trancegate and a huge reverb effect.
Features:
- 3 main oscillators:
- Each main oscillator supports 6 waveforms: sine, saw, triangle, pulse, saw7 and cry.
- The waveform “saw7” is a supersaw with 7 detunable sub-oscillators.
- The waveform “cry” is an experimental waveform, it is built up with several hard-synced saws.
- Main oscillator 2 has an additional unisono mode, when it is enabled, the whole oscillator triples its voice and the voices can be detuned from each other.
- The oscillators can be chained (osc1 to osc2 and osc2 to osc3) using FM, PM and sync, these 3 options can also be used at the same time.
- Separate noise oscillator.
- 3 LFOs:
- Each supports 5 waveforms: sine, saw, triangle, pulse, sample and hold
- The LFOs can be synchronized to the host tempo or run free at a specific frequency.
- Each LFO can control multiple parameters of each OSC, you can even assign several LFOs to the same parameter.
- LFO1 can control the filter cutoff.
- 2 Envelope generators (Mod & Amp) with variable shapes. The modulation envelope can control multiple parameters of each OSC, and it can also be mixed with the LFOs. Additionally it can control the filter cutoff.
- 3 types of filters: lowpass, highpass and bandpass. Each filter type can be set to 6dB, 12dB, 18dB and 24dB steepness.
- 9 effects, and they can be used at the same time: gater, chorus, phaser, flanger, distortion, delay, reverb, equalizer, stereo-effects.
- Each of the unused parts of the synth is shown with less contrast, so you can focus on the active parts.
- The output of the synth can be clipped to avoid overdriving noise. The clipping is done with a soft limiter, that can be used to compress the whole synth sound (just enable clip and turn up the main volume).

Toum! is a virtual synthesizer to design kick, tom, timbal, percussion and bass sounds. The user can use the included presets or make their own analog, acoustic and electronic drums, and EDM bass synth sounds. Also can be designed snares, clap, hats and certain FX sounds.
Toum! has a virtual analog structure and a small phase modulation component.
The user can load a tutorial preset bank with onscreen guidance text. It is included in the download package.

Toned is a specialized tone shaping plugin with analog modeling. It is designed primarily for use in the mastering process or on two-track audio busses. Toned uses two distinct equalization processes: a three-band tone-shaping matrix, and a specially designed high pass (HP) filter.
The three-band tone-shaping matrix uses a crossover-style filter bank of first-order filters (-6dB per octave). This type of equalization produces very gentle and broad filtering, with minimal alteration of phase. Very wide boosts and cuts can be accomplished while still sounding natural. This style of equalization also mimics some of the interactions between frequency bands that are commonly found in passive analog EQs and analog tone controls. The tone-shaping matrix can be applied to stereo channels, or specifically to the mid or side channel. Additionally, Toned can be switched to use a two-band matrix.
The HP filter is specifically designed for accurately adjusting the low/sub bass energy. The filter has selectable Q and roll-off. The scale of the HP controls is specific to low bass, and ranges from 10 Hz to 50 Hz (with accuracy to 0.01 Hz). Just like the tone controls, the HP filter can be applied to the stereo channels, or specifically target the mid or side channel.
In addition to all of the tone and HP filter controls, Toned also includes an analog modeling engine to simulate the sound of hardware devices. The Toned analog sound consists of numerous parameters to simulate the unique frequency characteristics, saturation, self-noise, and other nuances of high-quality analog equipment. There is also a feedback control to simulate the effect of using negative feedback within an analog amplifier path.
Toned also includes many standard LVC-Audio features. This includes:
- Delay and phase compensated mix control.
- Adjustable input and output metering with peak and loudness meters.
- Internal 64-bit precision with 2x fixed oversampling rate.
- Knob controllers with fine- and superfine- control, and built-in A-B comparison.

This free VST plugin has an exclusive distortion algorithm with 2 different flavours: single band and multi-band. It is, in reality, a collection of 2 plugins that only differ by the user desire/will: want to work the sound in one band or in two?
