black box slight disorder is a free glitch VST plugin developed by de la Mancha. Compatible OS(s): Windows.

Although several theories have been put forward, no-one knows exactly how the black box works. What is known is that it will take an audio input and spit out a modified signal.

The rhythmic, choppy, buffered and tempo sync output is especially pleasing on drums, but works for most instruments and vocals too. It has no controls, only a red LED display that runs from 000 to 099, each number would appear to change the algorithmic undertones that affect the things and stuff inside differently. Some of these so-called ‘programs’ appear to loop the effect, others don’t. Sometimes the things are faster and the stuff slower, other times it’s the opposite.

Bitter Sweet is a free dynamics processor to manage audio transients. Turning the central button on the sweet side, decreases the transients amplitude. On the bitter side, the transients amplitude is magnified. Bitter Sweet also features a control for the signal to be processed. When the main position is engaged, the process affects the stereo signal. If Center is engaged, only the M signal of the internal MS matrix is processed. If stereo is selected, only the S signal from the MS matrix is processed.

Bitter is a 64-bit bitscope and intersample clip indicator.

Bitter shows how many of the available bits are being used by the audio signal, reports clipping samples, and estimates when digital-to-analog conversion would cause inter-sample clips.

Typical uses for a bitscope include: verifying that a render dither is working properly; verifying that a particular plugin is not reducing the signal bit depth; testing for faulty audio source data.

The phaser shifts the timing of the audio sign, and changes the rate of the dominant and emphatised frequency range in the time-range given by the user:

Wet/dry: regulates the mixing of the original and the mixed sign.

Speed: Changes the speed of the phase-frequency shift. It only works if the auto-manual led is off.

Auto-manual led: In auto mode the effect running in sync with tempo of the BPM.

Gain: Changes the intensity of phase-frequency shift.

Feedback: We can feedback the changed sign into the effect, where it goes through further sign changes. Using it won’t cause a big change, so it differs when is the difference is more prominent.
