Changelog:

1.1 (2017-02-10):

  • FIXED: some incompatibility solved.

The theory underlying the waves based on the golden number

The golden number comes from the divine proportion that divides The whole into parts by an ideal ratio, so that every part will reflect the whole.

Mathematically the entire reported by a part must be equal to the ratio of the two divisions.

1/a = a/b.

1/a = a/ (1-a)

1=a*a+a.

a=0,618033988….
ϕ (phi)=1/a=1,618033988….

Divine ratio is a perfect ratio which creates everything

Thus we have obtained an ideal primary division. To keep this perfection we must continue in the same way, the obtained divisions we divide them by the golden ratio. This way you can get a perfect growth and division that maintains the holistic principle: the part in everything and everything in the part.

Mathematically we can write:

It is a growing and an indefinitely dividing formula that can grow infinite keeping the original harmony.

Golden waveforms

A wave cycle can be divided exactly the same, in perfect divisions by the golden ratio as follows:

Golden Sinusoid:
Golden Sine Half:
Golden Triangle Wave:
Golden Square Wave:

In this way we obtained pure, ideal waveforms, with a specific timbre, excellent for binaural beats. You can make a lot of music applications or pure sounds in the therapeutic, psychological or spiritual domain and in electronic music.

Gobbler

Gobbler free soundbank by Embertone

Gobbler virtual instrument is a free sound bank for Kontakt, by Embertone.

Gobbler is a strange & silly virtual instrument. The sound is like nothing you’ve ever heard, and possibly nothing you’d ever want to hear: 5 adults gobbling into a microphone. The more you play, the faster Gobbles the turkey will run.

This instrument is free, however, donations will benefit an amazing organization: The Global Fund For Children. This nonprofit collective is one of the most reputable and effective in the world… providing life-giving support for the most vulnerable people in the world: KIDS.

So consider donating to a worthy cause and receive an instrument that is incredibly fun to play.

GNormal

GNormal free other-utility by GVST

GNormal is a free audio and studio utility VST plugin developed by GVST. Compatible OS(s): Windows 64b, macOS, Linux.

GNormal tries to remedy denormal problems by introducing extremely low-level noise to the signal path. (If you don’t know what that means, then you probably don’t need it).

Some CPUs employ techniques to extend the accuracy of floating-point calculations for very small numbers. These small numbers are called denormals.

Unfortunately, calculations involving denormals can be very slow. This can drastically affect audio DSP performance. In most cases, these numbers are too small to be of any interest anyway.

Adding noise to the signal path can sometimes prevent denormals from getting into subsequent calculations. Obviously, the noise-level used is so low that you cannot hear it.

The simplest way to configure GNormal is to place it before a suspect plug-in and set the Level parameter to maximum. Try each setting of the Type parameter to see if the problem goes away. When you have found a suitable noise-type, you can try lowering the Level.

GMulti

GMulti free compressor by GVST

GMulti is a free compressor VST plugin developed by GVST. Compatible OS(s): Windows 64b, macOS, Linux.

GMulti is a three-band compressor and stereo enhancer.

First, the signal is split at user-defined frequencies into three bands. Each of these bands can then be compressed independently and have its stereo width altered before being mixed back together.

The compression of each band is specified in the usual manner with threshold, ratio, attack and release controls.

The GUI contains gain-reduction meters for each band, which have a resolution of 1dB per bar. There is also a before/after waveform display, which can display any of the three bands. The waveform display features a zoom control, which allows the display to be scaled for optimum viewing.

The stereo enhancement works by amplifying or diminishing the stereo information in each band. If you set a Width parameter to 0% then the associated band is collapsed to mono, which is often desirable for the bass band.

The Mix parameter allows the pre-compression signal to be mixed back into the output signal. You can use this to restore some of the dynamics of the original signal.

GMax

GMax free compressor by GVST

GMax is a free compressor VST plugin developed by GVST. Compatible OS(s): Windows 64b, macOS, Linux.

GMax is a maximizing limiter. It is designed to boost the level of the signal without letting the peaks exceed a given maximum.

The Gain parameter sets the desired boost in volume. The signal will be boosted by this amount before going into the limiter.

The limiter reduces the signal level as necessary to keep it below that specified by the Ceiling parameter. The Release parameter sets the time taken for the limiter to recover after turning the volume down.

A meter is displayed on the GUI showing the gain reduction applied by the limiter. The resolution of this meter is 1dB per bar.

Glue Reeds

Glue Reeds free rompler by Mokafix Audio

Glue Reeds is a free rompler VST plugin developed by Mokafix Audio. Compatible OS(s): Windows.

Glue Reeds is a faithful recreation of an electric piano that used sticky pads to trigger the reeds. It is based on reactive synthesis and captures that reed EP sound by reproducing both the reed motion and pickup response. Although the original had no much dynamic response, this virtual emulation let you recover some dynamic by changing the velocity curve.

Main features:

  • Seamless dynamic response.
  • Velocity curve control.
