Pentaphonizer is a free stereo imaging VST plugin developed by Acousmodules. Compatible OS(s): Windows.
Pentaphonizer offers stereo to five-channel-surround translation.
Features
Cinetic section:
- Analysis of the main frequency (pitch tracker) and the intensity (volume tracker) of the two channels of a stereo input signal.
- Modulation of the X/Y position of the two inputs according to the analyzed signal : center position, amplitude of the movement and smoothness.
- Each channel tracker can control the X or Y position of the two inputs.
- Spatial areas settings for each output.
Spectral section:
- Division of the two inputs signals in four frequency bands with three crossover filters.
- Each frequency band can be freely positioned (and automated) inside the 2D space.
- Intensity settings for each band / channel
- Spatial areas settings for each output.
- Possibility to view the spectrum of each band / channel.
Plus:
- Stereo reverberation section with spatial position of the two channels.
- Easy combination of the three sections with a separate volume adjustment, the 2D view shows only the objects that correspond to an active section.
- Pre-assigned MIDI controller numbers for easy use with a control surface.
- 128 patches, help screen.
The full featured freeware version has 8 delays instead of 16.
