Yamaha DD-10 Toy Drum Machine Sessions is a free collection of toy samples recorded from the Yamaha DD-10 drum machine.
The pack contains all 25 sounds of the original instrument captured in 24-bit WAV format, and a set of instrument patches for Kontakt 5, Shortcircuit 1, and Poise.

X Crash is a sampled 16 inch crash cymbal.
This is an “explosive” crash from a well known cymbal maker. It was recorded using 3 microphones (one aiming at the top + a stereo pair to capture the room sound).
You can mix the 2 tracks using different settings to sculpt its sound and get a wide sonic range.
Samples were carefully edited and choosen, they are long from 18 to 20 seconds and are organized on 4 velocity layers to get a natural sound and play:
- 24-bit / 41000 Hz recordings.
- 20 long samples.
- 4 velocity layers.
- 5 round-robin samples / layer.

SnareBuzz is an audio effect plugin that emulates the wires of a snare buzzing when there’s another instrument playing near.
Why do you want to emulate this effect if every engineer in the world has tried to get rid of it? Short: because it’s cool! Long: because it doesn’t exist in the DAW environment, it’s something that we are all familiar with, and if you’re really used to play live with a band it’s weird not hearing it when recording instruments separately.
