VU2

VU2 is a free vu meter VST plugin developed by Starplugs. Compatible OS(s): Windows.

VU2 is a 2 channel high precision meter. It can be used as Peak meter, Program Peak meter, VU meter or Power meter with integration times from 1 sample to 1 second and decay times from 1 sample to 10 seconds. The meter headroom can be adjusted in 0.1 dB steps from 0 to –20 dBfs. Each VU meter comes with an over-hold LED and features a second peak-hold needle. The VU2 also features a correlation meter.

VSTplug freq

VSTplug freq is a free equalizer VST plugin developed by King Oz Records. Compatible OS(s): Windows.

The Freq is one of the better EQ’s made by Phonix (Nick Johnstone), and I like it a great deal. But I wanted to make something like the FL studio EQ with a glossy smooth sound, especially due to the fact that it wasn’t very 4k or 8k screen friendly. This re-make makes that possible to a degree but the code base has limitations and in that regard this beta will be the last of the line.

I think Nick for making this great EQ and I wanted to show My appreciation for this effect by providing this useful tool for fans of the EQ who have larger screens and don’t like fiddling with knobs.

This is a beta with no known issues. The issue in coding it right now is setting a max q-bell width maximum. It doesn’t affect any other bands but the bass. Be careful not to make that q-width (resonance) too high.

Stays at about 1% CPU usage.

Stay tuned for a final update which makes the operation a bit smoother and has a different preset count which should allow automation.

voiceofsnow is a free exciter and enhancer VST, Audio Unit plugin developed by sundevstudio. Compatible OS(s): Windows, macOS.

voiceofsnow is experimental GUI-less plugin.

It uses spectral analysis to split the input signal into noise and tone components.

You can apply clipping and tilt equalization to shape noise component and then mix both components back for exciter-like effect.

VoCoGaTe

VoCoGaTe is a free gate VST plugin developed by Tekky Synths. Compatible OS(s): Windows.

Originally made to process vocal samples in a pitch shifter and a gater, VoCoGaTe can make infinite percussion variations. Many random options help to create patches. It is not an easy instrument to program but one can achieve some cool sounds with a bit of a time and patience.

VoCoGaTe comes in Pro and Free versions. The free version has some restrictions but it is fully usable and allows to save/load one preset at a time.

Vocalizer is a vowel effect which enables you to convert any sound into a human-voice-like sound.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is a free compressor VST plugin developed by Distorque. Compatible OS(s): Windows.

Vitamin C is an emulation of an Orange Squeezer guitar compressor, with added controls for tweaking. It runs in mono or stereo, and has selectable 2x oversampling. Note that this is not a studio compressor, Vitamin C has the quirks and imperfections of the original Orange Squeezer that gave it its unique character.

The Orange Squeezer is a guitar compressor that was released in the 1970s as part of the Dan Armstrong effect line. It has been used prominently by artists like Mark Knopfler and Jeff Baxter for its smooth squish and sustain.
