Spaceship Delay is a delay audio effect featuring classic modern and vintage sounding delays, with the following features:

Three delay modes: single, ping pong and dual / stereo.

Standard delay effects controls such as the delay time in ms and in time subdivisions, the feedback (up to 110 % !), a tap tempo button etc.

A modulation section acting on the delay times and the filter cutoff frequencies.

An attack control allowing the user to feed the delay line only when the input volume is higher than a given threshold.

A spring reverb modeled from a famous tape machine (not that one, another one).

The Oberheim OB-1 is an early monophonic analog synthesizer released in 1978 with two discrete oscillators and suboscillators, along with a noise generator. A discrete lowpass filter can be either 12dB or 24dB per octave, for both a classic Oberheim 2-pole sound and the legendary Minimoog 4-pole sound. Notable users of the OB-1 were the composer and musician Vince Clarke and the bands Tangerine Dream, Rush, and The Grid.

The Yamaha CP-30 is an electronic piano from 1976 that uses analog synthesis sound generation. The CP-30 has a Decay control knob that can be used to simultaneously adjust attack and decay parameters not unlike those of a regular synthesizer’s ADSR envelope. Two tone-generation systems, each with independent decay control, let users like Herbie Hancock, Fleetwood Mac and The Cars conjure up unique sounds using modern synthesizer techniques.

Space360 is a free reverb VST plugin developed by cytoSonic. Compatible OS(s): Windows.

Space 360 is a straight-forward room simulator and reverb effect. Behind its no-nonsense interface is a complex implementation of three distinct, yet inter-dependent algorithms for the wavefront (Direct), early reflections (Reflect), and late reflections (Ambience). The effect uses “regressive modeling” to accurately synthesize the most important elements of the reverb sound, while using a more CPU-friendly, statistical approach to the less important elements. The result combines the realism of a convolution reverb with the efficiency and flexibility of an algorithmic reverb.

The Space 360 can be used to add spatial “context” to sampled and synthesized sources, to achieve perfectly accurate binaural panning of stereo tracks, to put multiple tracks into the same virtual “room,” or to just add that perfect amount of reverb to make the source sit perfectly in the mix.

The Space 360 will not give you those lush halls that decay forever. It will not give any crazy reverse reverbs or unnatural swells. There are plenty other effects that do that well. What the Space 360 offers is a go-to room simulator and reverb that models the minute details of a natural room remarkably well while not eating up all your CPU resources. You don’t need a masters degree in physics or a ruler and protractor to achieve perfectly scaled and filtered reflections. All you need to do is move the little speakers and head around and the effect calculates them internally.

SoundScaper

SoundScaper is a free multi fx and delay and echo and vocoder VST plugin developed by Homegrown Sounds. Compatible OS(s): Windows.

SoundScaper is capable of Reverb, Echo and Comb effects. It was designed primarily as way of creating atmospheric landscapes in the tradition of past HGSounds creations. It has almost infinite feedback time for many modes, and so is capable of producing rich and complex drones when used with a continuous sound source. It can also be used as a traditional reverb or echo suitable for any application.

SoundScaper has a diverse range of sonic possibilities using 300 datasets of comb/allpass timings, each providing a different effect model. Each of these modes can then be set to one of 33 different Multipliers (Styles) which take it through tight comb based effects, to reverbs and finally echo banks.

As with all HGS plug-ins, instant gratification is built in with a randomization system that will always result in a unique and usable patch, plus randomizers for each individual section. The plugin was initially based on Freeverb, though has been expanded and highly optimized using SSE making it a lightweight plugin with a small CPU footprint.
